I have Lightroom 6.14, DXO's latest NIK Collection, and On1 Effects, and I don't really want to wrestle with a full-on RAW editor outside of what I already have and am most comfortable with, so I think this is gonna fit in really well for me. The best part for me, this utility is less than half of the cost of PhotoLab 4 Elite ($89 introductory price versus $199 for PL4), making it more within my budget for software. It's not quite magic, it doesn't make the RAWs look like they straight up came out of another camera, but they do look a ton better in many cases, without oppressive noise reduction artifacts or smoothing. I tried DeepPRIME when it was released, and found that it did make my older micro four thirds RAW files look a lot better. They lost me.DXO has just released the most sensational part of their PhotoLab 4 Elite, the DeepPrime noise reduction, as a utility that converts RAW files to denoised, corrected DNGs that can then be imported into other image editing applications. Not because I'm nice, but because it's bad for business. As someone who makes and sells software myself, I would never do this to a customer. That says nothing about the quality of their software, but it does tell everything about the quality of their customer service and business practices. En las versiones ajustadas con Camera Raw/Lightroom he aplicado los ajustes que me han parecido más adecuados. It's not good business to treat your customers like that when they make an honest stupid mistake (and yes, I have bought things from them before). Con la misma premisa de la comparativa anterior, vamos ahora a comparar el resultado de una reducción de ruido en Camera Raw/Lightroom, con la que nos proporciona DxO Pure Raw 2. Instead they basically told me that the money was theirs now and there was nothing I could do. However, when I realized my mistake, just minutes after buying, they could have refunded me. Yeah, I totally understand that it was my fault for buying this without doing some research. The good news for you is your needs on the Z9 will be covered in the future and again that is made clear on the DXO website so I would suggest you sit tight with your purchase and offer a more balanced view when you can then decide how good you think the software is.įor my Nikon cameras I use DXO Photolab 5 Elite and have found nothing better and I've also found DXO very helpful when I've messaged them. After all DXO offer a clear list of what is supported by camera model covering the Z9 and the variations of what you shoot in, they also offer a free trial and you can't blame DXO because you heard somewhere that the Z9 was supported. Sorry to hear you got caught by this but its not really DXO's fault at all.Ĭaveat Emptor applies - let the buyer beware - in order to make sure the item being purchased meets there needs. You likely got a one lined response from DxO! Personally, have matched RAW decoding, I find the C1 is a far better investment, but your milage may vary. However, my experience with DxO is that they are not customer focused at all, even with beta testers. I don't think any software other than Nikons read HE files, the main reason (for the MAC) is the ARM version of the SDK hasn't been available. It only works on the lossless compressed files. I mixed them up, as they're all compressed in some way. Yes, the HE and HE* formats aren't supported. The last time I looked only Nikon and Adobe support the HE formats, and Adobe only supported it on some processors. I can understand you being disappointed but to clarify DxO currently supports the compressed lossless format but neither lossy format (HE* and HE). Yeah it right on the page for Pure Raw 2.0 that it's not supported but will be Just getting it out there in case anybody else was thinking of using it with their Z9. Also, DxO lost a customer for life because of their inflexibility. That will teach me to always tryout software before buying. The workaround is to create dng first, which I won't do because I was looking to simplify my workflow, not make it more complicated. 162K subscribers Join Subscribe 490 Share Save 17K views 10 months ago SonyAlpha SonyAustralia SonyAmbassador DxO Pure Raw - Deep Prime: Software review Disclaimer I was not paid by DxO to. ![]() They won't budge, I haven't even used it once. When I tried to get a refund (because it's of no value to me if it doesn't support the Z9 fully), I was told they can't do it because I agreed to the terms and conditions, and I should have read the camera compatibility list before buying (I didn't because I heard the Z9 is supported). I just bought the software (after I saw some positive reviews on YouTube) for €129, and it choked on the first raw file I fed it. Just be aware that DxO pureraw 2 does not support the compressed raw formats of the Z9, only the uncompressed format.
